House of Whipcord - Film artwork & packaging design.
In 2014 Screenbound Pictures (former OEG), released Pete Walker's, 70s' horror exploitation film ''House of Whipcord''. I was tasked with designing release material. For this project I worked in concept development, art direction and visual design. Full project includes: Title design and packaging artwork (DVD, BLU-RAY, inlays).
I drew inspiration from 70s' horror posters. The idea was a cover that encapsulates the film's mood, complemented it with stand-out typography. Images were selected from scenes highlights and edited for both practical and artistic reasons. Firstly to improve the quality of the original material and to reflect a nostalgic retro look.
